“Ecological Sanitation: Alternate systems to save water and reuse resources” has been written Sumita Ganguly and P Amudha in India Infrastructure Report, published in 2007 by United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The case study presents about the two NGOs, SCOPE and MYRADA supported by UNICEF have brought ecological sanitation as a concept among rural families in Tiruchirapalli and Erode districts in Tamil Nadu through a process of discussion with Gram Panchayats and families.

This case study is about the use of incinerator for school toilet waste in Tamil Nadu where innovative low cost technology incinerator has been developed for proper disposal of sanitary wastes.
“School and Anganwadi toilet designs: Norms and Options – a technical note”, which have been developed and published by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) with support from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). There was an urgent need to develop a Technical Manual on the design options for the Anganwadis and Schools, to suit the special requirements of babies and children. The manual tries to address the major issues relating to child-friendly design options, in a comprehensive manner.
The case study titled “Practicing zero waste management in Vellore, Tamil Nadu” has been written P Amudha in India Infrastructure Report, published in 2007 by United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). It presents Exnora Green Cross, supported by UNICEF, initiated a pilot project on solid waste management in a ward of Vellore municipality in 2000.
