Lok Sabha candidate makes pitch for construction of toilets

Muzaffarpur, Bihar, May 3, 2014: A social worker contesting the Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha seat in Bihar is seeking vote in the name of social cause of making society defecation free.

Akshay Verma, who has been facilitating construction of toilet in household under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan is touring vigorously asking people to support him so that he could achieve the target of making Muzaffarpur open defecation free.

Verma, a candidate of Sarvjan Kalyan Loktantrik Party while addressing street corner meetings told people that it was bane on society that women have to go for defecation in open space still in hinterland.

He said his motto was that every household has a toilet so that women do not loose their prestige in the society.

He has helped in construction of about 1700 toilets under the scheme here so far.

Verma today toured different villages under Katra block of Muzaffarpur in pursuance of his poll aims. (Source: PTI)
